Nesta jornada clown, Tom Roos propõe um formato de intervenção de rua. The Parade (A Parada)
Ao longo de três dias trabalhamos em dinâmicas de grupo, sons grupais, ritmo grupal. Aprendemos movimentos de dança simples juntos e uma melodia simples. Aprendemos sobre o foco do grupo, e também na divisão no jogo individual.
Definimos algumas relações dos palhaços dentro do grupo (status, mais ou menos estúpido).Aprendemos a nos comunicar com gibberish e com movimentos claros e definimos nossa perspetiva de grupo, roupas e maquiagem.
Então estamos prontos para sair!
The Bunch (O Molho) está lá para fazer uma bela Parada, mas há cem razões para distrair a sua disciplina; quer dentro do grupo; quer pelas coisas que acontecem ao redor dele. Como um grupo, estabelecemos um tempo, um equilíbrio entre o caos e o retorno à estrutura.
Exploraremos como um grupo pode ter um grande impacto na vida da rua.
Para que a platéia compreenda o que acontece, precisamos estar bem organizados como um grupo, de modo que, mesmo no caos, as pessoas possam nos ler facilmente, mesmo no caos, os palhaços estão conectados. Isso oferece oportunidades maravilhosas para improvisar, e perceber como um monte de palhaços pode interferir com a rua e o seu quotidiano.
O resultado deste workshop será apresentado na FEIRA DA LUZ em Carnide dia 27 de Setembro às 17h.

Sobre Tom Roos!
Nasceu em 1954 na África do Sul. Em 1982, criou a companhia ’WurreWurre’ com Philippe De Maertelaere e o cão Boost, um duo clownesco inteiramente consagrado à promoção do inútil. Depois, representou em salas e festivais do mundo inteiro. Tom Roos é igualmente professor de teatro (especializado em clown) e encenador na Bélgica e no estrangeiro. Depois de 2000, trabalha regularmente no Soweto em África do Sul com crianças e adolescentes saídos dos ghettos. Continua igualmente a sua carreira de actor e encenador.
Desde 2000, Tom Roos, com o apoio da Comunidade Flamenga, trabalha numa base regular em Soweto, com o Centro Comunitário Ipelegeng, para criar espetáculos teatrais e de rua de alta qualidade com jovens do município.
Além disso, trabalha internacionalmente como diretor, comediante, contador de histórias, palhaço e professor.
Desde 2014, Tom Roos é um dos co-fundadores da “CONTACTCLOWN IN DE ZORG”, um grupo profissional de palhaços de cuidados para pessoas com demência e pessoas com deficiências mentais.
Tom Roos também é membro ativo da Clowns Without Borders Belgium, e já realizou várias missões em centros de refugiados, na Bélgica e no Líbano.

In this journey Tom Roos proposes a street play format: The Parade.
How, with a group of clowns create a street event ?
We work on group dynamics, group sounds, group rhythm.
We learn simple dance moves together, and a simple tune.
We learn on group focus, and also on splitting up into individual play.
We define some relations of the clowns within the group( status, more or less stupid).
We learn to communicate in gibberish and with clear movements.
We define our group outlook, costumes and make up.
Then we are ready to go outside. The Bunch is there to make a Beautiful Parade, but there is one hundred reasons to distract their discipline; either from inside the group; either from the things that
happen around them.
As a group, we establish a timing, a balance between chaos and returning to structure.
A group can have a big impact in street life. In order for the audience to understand what happens, we need to be well organized as a group, so that even in chaos, people can read us easily, even in
chaos, the clowns are connected.
This gives us wonderful opportunities to improvise, and as a Bunch of Clowns interfere with daily life.
About TOM ROOS (BE/SA)
Clown, actor, storyteller, artistic director, facilitator, care clown .
Born in Strand (South-Africa) in 1954 , grown up in Belgium.
Studies Archeology and Anthropology at the university of Ghent.
Two years of traveling in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Throws himself in theater, street theater and clowning as an autodidact. Workshops clowning with Bolek Polivka(Czechia), Phillipe Gaulier(London), Said Lassaad( Brussels).
Trained in Qi kung over several years by Shen Hongsun.
1982 founds Wurre Wurre, with Philippe De Maertelaere and the dog Boost.
Wurre Wurre is fully engaged to ennoble uselessness.
Wurre Wurre develops a style where absurd and burlesque mix up with surrealism and poetry in a clear and simple visual language with a minimum of means and an overdose of humor.
Very soon they have an international reputation; Wurre wurre travels the world and the seven seas.

They perform on the five continents.
In 1998 they are honored with the title “Cultural Ambassador of Flanders”. The same year they perform in Bangkok for the 72th anniversary of king Bhummibol from Thailand, as representants of the European Community.
Since 2000, Tom Roos, with the support of the Flemish Community, works on regular base in Soweto, with Ipelegeng Community Centre, in order to create high quality theatre and street theatre performances with township youngsters.
From 2000 to 2010 these performances; “Play”, “Action”, “Mupaku”, “The Grass Turns Green”,”Inyoni”, “The Champions”, have toured successfully allover Europe in renowned festivals.

Apart from that he works internationally as director, comedian, storyteller, clown, and teacher. In 2014 Tom Roos is one of the cofounders of ”CONTACTCLOWN IN DE ZORG”, a professional group of care clowns for persons with dementia, and persons with mental disabilities.Tom Roos is also active member of Clowns Without Borders Belgium and has done several missions to perform in refugee centers.
Practical
Minimum 6, maximum 12 participants.
This workshop is for clowns and musicians and actors with experience.
We work together two days and then go out and perform.
Your creative input is important, as well as your willingness to follow the others.
